it's been so cold the past two nights. it sounds really silly but here in hawaii when the temperature gets in the high fifties/low sixties we freeze our butts off. normally, i hate going to the beach because of the sun. today the weather was perfect.
we met babybug's friends at sandy beach so they could play at the tidepools.

this morning we walked to the farmer's market at kapiolani community college.
our loot included the coconut that was bleech...yucky...baby japanese cucumbers, sweet potatoes, watercress, burgers, a narcissus plant for chinese new year and this little fly trap.
tonight is girls mamas-night-out!

babybug got this cute goodie bag from a friend's party. it was personlized with her name on the little white tag.

babybug went back to school today after two weeks of vacation. i miss her bugging me.
unsure if i'm happy or sad to see 2008 go.
apprehensive about what 2009 will bring.

yesterday we took babybug to the park to play with her present from santa. my tomboy asked santa for only one present, a remote control car.
we thought about going to the movies after dinner. good thing we didn't because there was the island-wide blackout. nintendo ds and my iphone kept us occupied in the dark :)
we made these after opening presents.
